Interlude
Friends! It feels surreal that this little newsletter hit a dozen posts last week. I had no idea what I was doing when I started writing but I feel like it has started to develop its identity. This began as a way to practice my writing, hold myself accountable, and throw a few of my thoughts out into the universe. That being said, I’m going to take a break this week and will slow down my publishing pace a bit going forward - starting next week, the newsletter will go out every second Saturday. In the meantime, check out some of my previous posts below. Thank you again for reading and for your support! It means the world.
“That first taste. Pure velvet. The texture luxurious, like yards of sumptuous fabric folding upon themselves. The flavour deep and rich and creamy but also punctuated by the slight tang of something alive.”
“Pummeling through the dark, encapsulated by a metal tube. The clandestine nature of a snaking network of movement and activity below the city’s surface. Metal, grime, electricity.”
“The water is both friend and foe. It holds you as you float, your body buoyant, elegant in its movements that could never be achieved on solid ground. […] You time your strokes and breaths for efficiency, for survival, and as you come up for each sip of air, you recognize the luxury of oxygen.”
